The first single song named 'Ponni Nadhi' from 'Ponniyin Selvan part 1' album was launched at a grand event held at Express Avenue, Chennai. Now, the latest update is that the makers have unleashed an exclusive making video of the 'Ponni Nadhi' song along with BTS videos today.

The 2-minute-long BTS video opens with Karthi who plays Vallavarayan Vanthiyathevan explaining what the song is all about. It was followed by choreographer Brindha's analogy about the song and how the visuals were designed. They talk about Vanthiyathevan's horse Semban and the song's significance in 'PS1'.

Composed and performed by Isai Puyal AR Rahman, the song features Vanthiyathevan narrating the special features of the Chola Kingdom as he is traveling alongside the Cauvery river bank where the people are celebrating Aadi Perukku (Tamil Festival). Ilango Krishnan penned the song's lyrics while the film's dialogues are written by Jeyamohan.

'Ponniyin Selvan' also stars Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Ashwin, Nizhalgal Ravi, Rahman, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shobita Dhulipala and others. The film has cinematography by Ravi Varman and editing by Sreekar Prasad. 'PS1' is all set to hit the screens in five languages on September 30.
