Pawan Kalyan Moves Delhi High Court to Safeguard Personality Rights

Following NTR’s recent petition to the Delhi High Court seeking removal of defamatory and abusive online content, actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has taken a parallel legal route to protect his personality rights. The development adds to a growing trend in the Telugu film industry, where senior actors including Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna have previously secured similar court directives.

Pawan Kalyan has filed a suit alleging that several social media accounts and e-commerce platforms have been exploiting his name, photographs, videos, and overall likeness for commercial gain without any form of authorization. According to the petition, the unauthorized usage misleads consumers and infringes on his legal and moral rights as a public figure.

The Delhi High Court, acknowledging the concerns raised, has directed Pawan Kalyan to submit a detailed list of all infringing links within two days. Intermediaries have been instructed to act upon the submitted information and initiate takedown measures within one week.

The case is scheduled for its next hearing on December 22.

On the professional front, Pawan Kalyan recently delivered a box-office success with the gangster drama OG. He will next appear in Ustaad Bhagat Singh, with the film’s first single slated for release later this month.
