AVM connect in Pariyerum Perumal remake!

Director Pa Ranjith who had last directed Kaala with Superstar Rajnikanth, had turned a producer with his Neelam Productions banner’s Pariyerum Perumal. Directed by debutant Mari Selvaraj, a former associate of Ram, and starring Kathir and Anandhi,  Pariyerum Perumal turned out to be a commercially and critically acclaimed venture.

Now, following the success of the movie in Tamil, plans are on to remake the movie in Kannada, and it has been revealed that the Kannada version will star Mythreya reprising Kathir’s role, and the movie will be directed by Gandhi Manivasagam, who had previously made Kalavani Maapillai starring Attakathi Dinesh.

While more details on this project are awaited, it must be noted that Mythreya is the husband of Aparna Guhan, granddaughter of the legendary AVM Saravanan. Last year, Mythreya had claimed that director Mysskin had promised to make Psycho starring himself in lead role, before moving ahead with Udhayanidhi Stalin, and had sought a ban on the movie.
