It's a known fact that after the success of his debut movie as a screenwriter - LKG which was released last year, actor RJ Balaji is set to make his debut as a director with the movie Mookuthi Amman.

Mookuthi Amman which is directed by RJ Balaji along with debutant NJ Saravanan has Lady superstar Nayanthara playing goddess Mookuthi Amman, and also stars RJ Balaji, Smruthi Venkat, Urvashi, Moulee and is produced by Vels Film International.

The latest update on the movie is that Mookuthi Amman will have a direct premiere simultaneously on Star Vijay TV as well as Disney Plus Hotstar on Diwali day. It has been said that RJ Balaji who had been working on Tamil commentary of IPL is back to Chennai on a 20 day break to finalise the deal, and an official announcement is expected soon.
