Mukesh Ambani has been having an eventful 2020 making numerous deals in his digital business, has now achieved a milestone as well this year, by overtaking the wealth of Warren Buffett. Mukesh, who's the chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd. is now worth $68.3 billion, and Buffett's net worth is at $67.9 billion as per Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Shares of Ambani’s Reliance Industries have doubled after going low in March, as the company's digital unit got a boost with investments more than $15 billion from firms such as Facebook Inc. and Silver Lake, BP Plc which invested in fuel business etc.

As Ambani’s net worth increased, he became the only Asian business tycoon in the elite club of the world’s top 10 richest people, and Buffett’s wealth dropped after he donated $2.9 billion to charity.The 89-year-old Warren Buffett slipped down the rankings following a donation of $37 billion of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. stock. Mukesh Ambani is now the eighth richest person on the earth, while Buffett is ninth.
