It's been a really long time since former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni, was seen on field and the debate over his future in cricket has been happening since India's semi-final exit from the 2019 World Cup, after which Dhoni has not played International cricket and refrained from answering questions regarding the same as well.
With Dhoni's return to International cricket remaining uncertain, fans of the wicket keeper-batsman are eagerly awaiting to watch their star player in action yet again. Dhoni, who will be playing for the Chennai Super Kings, will start training on March 1 at the Chepauk Stadium. A source close to TOI reportedy told the news agency, "He is expected to arrive on March 1. He will probably train for a couple of weeks before going back for 4-5 days and then coming back once again closer to the start of the IPL."
Former president of the BCCI and Chennai Super Kings owner N Srinivasan recently confirmed that Dhoni will be leading the Indian Premier League franchise in 2021 as well. "MS Dhoni will play this year. And next year he will be in the auction and he will be retained," he mentioned in an event.
