Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first leg of Hyderabad’s proud ‘Metro Rail services’ yesterday from Miyapur Railway Station.

The Metro Rail services, first in the city, would connect the 30-km distance from Miyapur to Nagole by plying through 24 Stations en route.  Commercial operations of the Hyderabad Metro Rail are to commence formally from today.

Hyderabad hosts the 8th Annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) from 28-30 November.  It’s a joint Indo-American initiative to promote trade relations between the two countries.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi and U.S. President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump jointly inaugurated the GES summit yesterday.  Modi also inaugurated the Hyderabad Metro Rail services in the city.

After he was received at Begumpet Airport by Telengana chief-minister Chandrasekara Rao and Governor Narasimhan, Modi came to Miyapur Railway Statin, inaugurated the Rail services and travelled for 12 minutes by the Hyderabad Metro.  People of Hyderabad are obviously excited about travelling by the Metro Rail!
