Mithun Chakraborty Joins the Cast of Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2

The highly anticipated Rajinikanth starrer Jailer 2 continues to build momentum with its expanding star cast.

Directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar, the sequel already boasts powerful cameos from Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna and Kannada icon Shiva Rajkumar. The latest buzz suggests that Bollywood veteran Mithun Chakraborty is set to join the ensemble.

According to reports, Mithun will begin shooting later this week for a role said to have a pivotal impact on the storyline.

This won’t be the first time Rajinikanth and Mithun share cinematic space. Rajini has previously made special appearances in Mithun’s films — the 1997 Bengali drama Bhagya Debata and the 1989 Hindi movie Bhrashtachar.

In Jailer 2, Rajinikanth reprises his much-loved role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. He will be joined by returning cast members Ramya Krishnan as his wife and Mirnaa as his daughter-in-law.
