Mansoor Ali Khan has been mired in controversy ever since a video surfaced on the internet in which he is seen making sexist and derogatory remarks against his 'Leo' costar Trisha Krishnan. The 40 year old actress slammed him and vowed never to work with him again.
Following heavy backlash on the internet Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi, actor-politician Khushbu, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Karthik Subbaraj among others condemned Mansoor. The Nadigar Sangam demanded an unconditional public apology while a case was filed by the Thousand Lights police.
Mansoor was summoned to record his statement and he also approached the Madras High Court for anticipatory bail. The 61 year old actor who was adamand that he will not apologize made a volte face and apologized to Trisha on social media and she responded with "To err is human..to forgive is divine". However Mansoor Ali Khan is apparently not letting the controversy die down as he has reportedly decided to file defamation suits on November 27th against Trisha, Khushbu and Chiranjeevi among others. He has stressed once again that the video that was circulated was fabricated by adding unconnected to clips to criminalize his fun speech. The veteran's decision has shocked the film industry as everyone one thought that the matter was settled.
