Manmadhudu heroine Anshu ready for Movie Lovers

Anshu Ambani made her debut in movies opposite Akkineni Nagarjuna in the 2002 release Manmadhudu. She later starred in Raghavendra opposite Prabhas and played a lead role in the Tamil film Jai. Despite achieving reasonable popularity in a short span of time, she didn’t continue acting after her wedding.

The former actress, now living in London with her family, recently shared a video clip of herself welcoming the re-release of Manmadhudu. For movie buffs, this is the first glimpse of Anush that they have seen in about two decades. She reminisced about her memories of working with Nagarjuna. After Manmadhudu, Anshu starred in Raghavendra with Tollywood Rebel Star Prabhas. Later, she disappeared from the Telugu film industry and appeared in the Tamil movie Jai featuring Prashanth. Eventually, she returned to her birthplace, London, to pursue her education. She is now married to businessman Sachin and settled in the UK capital city, with the couple blessed with a daughter.

Anshu won a Filmfare award for Best Supporting Actress. Manmadhudu, directed by J. Vijay Bhasker, featured punch dialogues penned by Trivikram Srinivas, known as the wizard of words in Tollywood. The movie was a blockbuster hit, raking in a significant amount at the ticket window. Released in 2002, the Telugu flick was remade in Kannada as Aishwarya starring Real Star Upendra. It also marked the debut of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who was then a model.

Anshu married London-based Sachin Saggar in 2003 and subsequently lost interest in acting. She surprised everyone by sharing an update that she is in Hyderabad, posting “HYDERABAD…I’m ready for you.” In the snapshot, Anshu looked as beautiful and youthful as ever, exciting all her fans who are eagerly anticipating her return to the big screen.

Speculation is rife that she will be making her comeback soon, with reports suggesting she might star in high profile projects and  it might be true as she is looking even gorgeous in the latest snap.
