Title and First Look Poster of Mani Ratnam’s next Revealed??

Since yesterday a poster claiming to be the first look poster of director Mani Ratnam's next film with Karthi in the lead has been doing rounds in Social Media. The poster claims that the film has been titled as 'Kurudhi Pookkal' and it has the tag 'A gangster love story'.

The poster also lists the names of cast and technical crew members. Going by the names mentioned in the poster, the film will be directed by Mani Ratnam and produced by him under the Madras Talkies banner. A.R.Rahman will be scoring the music. Contrary to speculations that Ravi Varman will be doing the cinematography for the film the poster mentions P.C.Sreeram who teamed up with the ace filmmaker after a long gap for his latest super hit 'O Kadhal Kanamani'. Lyricists Vairamuthu and his son Madhan Karky's names have also been mentioned. A host of other technician names including stunt master Kanal Kannan are also included in the poster.

However director Mani Ratnam is a strict professional and it is hard to believe that he will not let out the first look and details of his films, leak out in such a manner. Madras Talkies will always opt for formal announcements through press release to reveal that details of their films. Also the choice of words in the poster such as 'The Love Story of a Gangster' does not look like words coming out from Mani Ratnam who is a master of picking catchy taglines for his films.

Nevertheless lets not take any decision about the authenticity of the poster and the film being titled as 'Kuruthi Pookkal' and lets wait for the official confirmation from Mani Ratnam or his Madras Talkies.
