Manchu Manoj Introduces “Mohana Raga Music,” A Platform for Fresh Talent and New Sounds

Manchu Manoj has taken a meaningful creative step by launching “Mohana Raga Music,” his new music venture that reflects years of passion, instinct, and artistic evolution. The announcement marks a personal moment for Manoj and his family, bringing his long-standing love for music into a dedicated space of its own.

Over the years, Manoj has established a unique presence in Telugu Cinéma with his versatility and strong screen energy. Beginning as a child artist and later leading films such as Bindaas, Current Theega, and Potugadu, he built a reputation for choosing roles that highlight both intensity and individuality. His commitment to Cinéma extends far beyond his performances, Manoj often contributes to stunts, creative planning, and the overall approach of his films, adding his personal touch at every stage.

Music has always run parallel to his work in films. Manoj has lent his voice to songs like “Pyar Mein Padipoya” in Potugadu, released the comforting “Antha Baguntamra” during the pandemic, and written lyrics for memorable tracks such as “Pistha Pistha” from Mr. Nookayya, “Yenno Yenno” from Nenu Meeku Thelusa, and “Pranam Poye Badha” from Mr. Nookayya. His style, raw, heartfelt, and expressive shows how naturally he connects with music.

Behind the scenes, Manoj has made important contributions in music and action departments for several films of his father Dr. Manchu Mohan Babu, brother Manchu Vishnu, and sister Lakshmi Manchu. He has rapped across multiple family films and even collaborated internationally with Achu Rajamani to create music for the Hollywood film Basmati Blues, starring Brie Larson.

With “Mohana Raga Music,” Manoj aims to build a platform that supports young talent, encourages bold experimentation, and brings original music to listeners in India and abroad. The name holds personal significance, as Mohana Raga is the favourite raga of both Manoj and his father, a symbol of lineage and emotion coming together.

The label’s lineup will include original singles, collaborations, and new-age music projects. A major international collaboration under “Mohana Raga Music” will be announced soon, setting the stage for Telugu music to reach wider global audiences.
