Actress Malavika who ruled the hearts of many 90s kids is finally making a comeback with her comeback in Pon Kumaran’s comedy Golmaal, which stars Jiiva and Shiva in the lead roles and recently opened up on staying away from the films for many years.
Malavika made her debut opposite Ajith Kumar in Unnai Thedi in 1999 and was a part of many popular films in the 2000s before taking a break in 2008 she shot for the film 'Kuruvi' alongside Thalapathy Vijay.
In a recent interview, she opened up on what made her return to film after 12 years. She said, " I stopped acting when I got pregnant with my first child, in 2008. I had my second child in two years, so I was very busy raising my two kids, and I did not want to compromise in bringing them up"
"My point was, if I was going to return, it should be a role worth my time and fans also should not feel disappointed and say, ‘Oh my God, she’s come back and it's such a small role!’. I didn’t want to make such a blink-and-miss appearance."
She also said that she is excited about the film. She also revealed that she is playing the boss of Jiiva in the upcoming film and also added that her kids are happy for her too.
