Kalyani Priyadarshan Confirms Return in Lokah Chapter 2, Shooting Likely From September 2026

The Malayalam superhero spectacle Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra emerged as a sensational box office success, rewriting industry records with collections surpassing ₹300 crores. Headlined by Kalyani Priyadarshan and directed by Dominic Arun, the film became Mollywood’s latest industry hit and established a strong foundation for a superhero franchise.

Building on that momentum, the makers recently announced the sequel, Lokah Chapter 2. This time, the narrative will be fronted by Tovino Thomas, with Dominic Arun returning to helm the project.

At a recent public event, Kalyani Priyadarshan shared two major updates that have heightened anticipation around the sequel. She confirmed that she will reprise her role in the second installment, much to the delight of her fans. The actress also revealed that the script is currently in development and that the team is aiming to commence filming in September 2026.

“Script work is underway. If everything goes as planned, we will begin shooting from September 2026. Yes, I am part of the film, so stay tuned,” she stated.

Adding to the excitement, music composer Jakes Bejoy has been roped in to score the soundtrack for the sequel. With the first film setting a new commercial benchmark and a fresh lead taking charge, expectations are soaring for Lokah Chapter 2 to deliver another blockbuster chapter in the expanding superhero universe.
