‘Major’: Overseas release by sought-after distributors

‘Major’, starring Adivi Sesh in the lead, will hit the cinemas in the second half of 2021. On Thursday, Weekend Cinema and Southern Star International said that they will be releasing the movie in crucial overseas markets such as the US and Canada. Besides the aforementioned international markets, the Sashikiran Tikka directorial will have a release in Australia, Singapore and New Zealand by the two distribution companies.

Sony Pictures Films India, Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment and A+S movies are bankrolling the 26/11-era movie. Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murli Sharma are playing important roles.

Abburi Ravi, who has provided script guidance, has written the dialogue for the Telugu version. The visuals (thanks to cinematographer Vamsi Patchipulusu and production designer Avinash Kolla) are authentic in the teaser, which was released in April. Sricharan Pakala’s BGM is mild. Action choreography by Sunil Rodrigues is seemingly important, considering that most of the film is about a terror action. 

The film was supposed to release on July 2. It has been postponed due to the pandemic. It will be released in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam when the time is ripe.
