History was made at the grand finale of Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9, as Kalyan Padala emerged as the winner, becoming the first-ever non-celebrity champion of the Telugu edition. After an intense 105-day journey inside the house, the 25-year-old commoner lifted the trophy and walked away with ₹35 lakh in prize money, along with a brand-new car.
The prize amount was originally set at ₹50 lakh, but it was reduced after Demon Pavan opted for a ₹15 lakh cash-out during the finale, prioritising family needs and finishing as second runner-up. Thanuja Puttaswamy secured the runner-up position.
The finale unfolded in a celebratory atmosphere with host Nagarjuna making a stylish entry and welcoming the five finalists—Kalyan Padala, Thanuja Puttaswamy, Sanjjanaa Galrani, Emmanuel, and Demon Pavan. Solo entries, a high-energy group dance, and emotional family interactions set the tone for the night. Nagarjuna revealed that fan voting had poured in “by the crores,” highlighting the season’s massive engagement.
A special montage revisiting the season’s memorable moments moved several finalists to tears, followed by light-hearted mock winning speeches that briefly eased the tension.
The finale featured vibrant performances by Mangli and Dimple Hayati, while actors Roshann Meka and Anaswara Rajan promoted their film Champion. Ravi Teja made a massy appearance to promote Bharateeya Mahasayulaku Vignapthi, adding humour and energy to the evening.
Sanjjanaa Galrani was the first finalist evicted on finale night, exiting gracefully and publicly backing Thanuja to win, citing the lack of a female winner in the show’s history. The remaining finalists participated in emotional “Thank You / Sorry” interactions, reflecting the bonds formed inside the house.
The biggest twist came when Demon Pavan accepted a ₹15 lakh briefcase offer, exiting the race for the title. With the prize pool revised, Kalyan Padala and Thanuja remained as the final two contenders. Both rejected a final temptation of ₹20 lakh each, choosing the title over money.
In the climactic moment, Nagarjuna announced Kalyan Padala as the winner. Overcome with emotion, Kalyan broke down on stage as Thanuja congratulated him warmly. His victory marks a defining moment for the franchise—proof that sincerity, consistency, and public connect can outshine celebrity status.
Kalyan Padala’s triumph not only concludes Season 9 on a landmark note but also redefines what is possible in Bigg Boss Telugu, making his journey one of the most celebrated in the show’s history.
