‘Mahanati’ gets international recognition

The Savitri biopic ‘Mahanati’ has been selected as an Indian Panorama film for the 49th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2018.

This film festival will be held from November 20th to 28th in Goa. From South India ‘Mahanati’ is the only one selected in the ‘mainstream films’ category by an internal committee of the Directorate of Film Festivals (DFF).

Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, it had Keerthy Suresh as the lead.  Dulquer Salmaan played her pair.

The film also starred Samantha, and Vijay Deverakonda in other roles. It was produced by Swapna and Priyanka Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema banners.
