It has been alleged by Prakash Raj's camp that the MAA elections were held on October 10 amid an intimidatory atmosphere. They have also alleged that Mohan Babu resorted to ugly behaviour when the polling was on.
On Thursday, Prakash Raj urged Election Officer Krishna Mohan to give them a copy of the CCTV footage of the "anti-social" behaviour. "The tempers were high and we saw unruly, anti-social behaviour of DRC member Sri Mohan babu and ex-president Sri Naresh," the versatile actor wrote, adding that the duo engaged in abuse, threats and physical attacks on members of MAA.
"I assume you used your discretionary powers to allow them and their henchmen in the polling arena," Prakash Raj wrote, sounding sarcastic. The 'Vakeel Saab' actor added that the footage is needed so that the truth can be ascertained by MAA members themselves.
"It is our democratic right to get all the relevant information related to polls," Raj wrote, saying that judicial verdicts necessitate that any polling officer must safeguard CCTV footage for 3 months in the least.
The actor also expressed apprehension that the footage might be doctored or tampered with by the opposing side if there is any delay.
