Breaking! Lokesh Kanagaraj signs Nayanthara?

Lokesh Kanagaraj has become the most talked about filmmaker in Tamil cinema after delivering Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ one of the highest grossing films ever in the industry.  He is gearing up to start shooting his next magnum opus ‘Thalapathy 67’ starring Vijay in the lead from January 2023.  The film has music by Anirudh and is produced by Seven Screen Studios with Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mysskin and GVM reportedly in the cast.

Meanwhile as reported by us much earlier to you Lokesh has turned producer and will be bankrolling two projects next year.  The first will be directed by his longtime friend and collaborator Rathna Kumar with Raghava Lawrence in the lead.

Now its reported that Nayanthara has been approached to play the female lead opposite Raghava Lawrence in the as yet untitled proejct.   Sources say the official announcement will come once the Lady Superstar signs the dotted line.  

Nayanthara’s ‘Connect’ produced by Vignesh Shivan and directed by Ashwin Saravanan released in the theaters this weekend.  She is currently acting in ‘Jawan’ directed by Atlee and starring Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Sethupathi.
