N. Lingusamy is known for delivering several commercial super hits right from his debut movie 'Anandam'. Most of his films such as Madhavan's 'Run', Vishal's 'Sandakozhi', Karthi's 'Paiyaa' and Arya's 'Vettai' are not only huge commercial hits but also contain many memorable scenes that are still enjoyed.

The classic filmmaker is in financial woes for the past few years due to his production ventures such as Kamal's 'Uttama Villain' failed miserably at the box office. However the good news is that things have changed for the better for Thirupati Brothers and they are back with a bang. The first film released this year titled 'Beginning' has received critical acclaim and a new movie directed by Nanda Periyasamy has been announced officially.

Meanwhile the hot buzz in Kollywood is that Lingusamy has decided to make the sequel to 'Paiyaa' and has locked the script as well. The original film had Karthi and Tamannaah in the lead with lilting music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. But for the sequel it is said that Arya has been brought on board and talks are on with the late Sreedevi's daughter 'Janvhi Kapoor to play the female lead. Official confirmation is expected on this one.
