Lavanya Tripathi’s OTT debut to be unconventional, thrilling

Lavanya Tripathi is making a grand OTT entry. The actress has been on the right track, picking rare subjects on the feature film front. And, very soon, her OTT debut is going to be striking.

‘Puli-Meka’ is the title of her OTT debut. To be directed by K Chakravarthy Reddy, the ZEE5 original has Aadi Saikumar playing the hero. The web series seems to have got a fascinating premise. A thriller, its story revolves around a serial killer and the police department. “When the killer targets the police department by killing cops one after another, the thrills begin. Astrology is an important ingredient in the story,” the makers said last week.

The synopsis of the web series only goes to show that the ‘Andala Rakshasi’ actress is not wary of choosing roles and subjects that are ‘hatke’. She likes to be challenged every time she takes up an acting assignment. 

Which brings us to her July 15th theatrical release, ‘Happy Birthday’. If ‘Puli-Meka’ is a thriller, the feature film is a surreal action comedy where Lavanya has got an unconventional role. Director Ritesh Rana has cast her in a complex role. The film has Vennela Kishore as a Union Minister and Satya in a key role.
