Actress and director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan has finaized the plans for her fourth directorial project which will be based on a story she has written after getting inspired by the recently released critically acclaimed Hindi film 'Hindi Medium'.
The 'Aarohanam' director has revealed in a interview that at first she wanted to acquire the remake rights of 'Hindi Medium' but later dropped the idea as there were rumours that the Hindi film itself is inspired by some Bengalir or Malayalam film. Now she has written another story based on 'Hindi Medium' and that will be her next film.
Lakshmy Ramakrishnan confirmed that Ashok Selvan will play the male lead in the film while she plans to cast Manjima Mohan or Nandita Shweta or Aishwarya Rajesh as the female lead. She also said she feels Aishwarya will be the most apt choice for the role.
'Ammani' directed by Lakshmy released last year and it acquired phenomenal critical acclaim. Hence there is a great deal of expectations over her next film as a director.
