It is a well-known fact that the Yash starrer 'KGF Chapter 1' is one of the highest grosser of the year 2018 in Indian cinema. Now, the second installment of the grandeur franchise 'KGF Chapter 2' is ready to hit the screens in five languages: Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. 'KGF 2', which was supposed to release in July 2021, is pushed to a later date due to the second wave.

While the fans are eagerly waiting for the new theatrical release date of KGF2, the makers have revealed the update on the movie's satellite rights. The satellite rights of KGF2 in all south Indian languages including Tamil have been acquired by Zee Television Network. Director Prashanth Neel has officially announced the update on his Twitter page.

After the film's theatrical release, the Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu versions of the big-budget action drama will be aired in Zee Tamil, Zee Kannada, Zee Malayalam and Zee Telugu respectively. Also, trustable sources say that the team will officially announce the new theatrical release date very soon. While the cast of KGF 1 is retained, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Prakash Raj are the new additions to the ensemble cast of KGF 2.

Owing to the mega-success of part 1, the sequel has gained a lot of inception over its release.
