Love, control, obsession and madness come together in EYES, an upcoming Malayalam Original on Sony LIV that explores the darker and more disturbing side of love. The behavioral crime drama revolves around stalking, obsession and the thin line between affection and control.

Starring Kani Kusruti in the lead role, EYES is set to premiere on October 9, 2026, exclusively on Sony LIV.

The series follows Tina Sebastian, a police officer who becomes involved in cases where love gradually crosses the boundaries of obsession and control. As Tina investigates these disturbing incidents, she begins to uncover the fear, vulnerability and danger hidden beneath seemingly ordinary relationships.

However, the deeper Tina gets into the investigation, the more unsettling the truth becomes. The series promises to explore not only the crime itself but also the psychological impact stalking can have on its victims.

Manu Ashokan on the Series

Director Manu Ashokan said that EYES is a story he wanted to approach with honesty and sensitivity. According to the filmmaker, stalking is more than just a crime, as it can seriously affect an individual’s sense of safety and security.

The director added that the team has attempted to portray this reality while maintaining the tension and engagement of a thriller. He also expressed gratitude to the cast and crew for bringing the subject to life with sincerity and hoped that audiences would connect with the series and view the issue from a different perspective.

Reunion of Manu Ashokan and Bobby-Sanjay

EYES marks another collaboration between director Manu Ashokan and acclaimed writers Bobby-Sanjay, following their earlier films Uyare and Kaanekkaane.

The series is based on a story by Anjana Nayar, with Bobby-Sanjay handling the writing. Produced by DreamKatcher, the show features an ensemble cast including Nikhila Vimal, Dev Mohan, Saniya Iyappan and Shruthi in important roles.

With its focus on stalking, obsession and psychological control, EYES aims to offer more than a conventional crime thriller by examining the emotional and behavioral consequences of such relationships.

EYES premieres on Friday, October 9, exclusively on Sony LIV.
