Karthi is among the most sought-after heroes in Tamil cinema. The actor has a couple of promising films to be released in 2023 such as 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' by director Mani Ratnam and 'Japan' by director Raju Murugan.

Now, the latest reports suggest that he is set to start yet another new project this year. According to the sources, Karthi is most likely to join hands with director Nalan Kumarasamy of 'Soodhu Kavvum' and 'Kadhalum Kadanthu Pogum' fame for an upcoming venture to be bankrolled by KE Gnanvel Raja under the banner Studio Green.

Reportedly, the film will go on the floors with a muhurat puja on February 20. The shooting is said to begin right away after the puja ceremony. On the work front, Karthi is currently busy with shooting works in Japan and the dubbing works of Ponniyin Selvan 2.
