It was announced on 23rd March that Bollywood superstar Kangana Ranaut will be playing the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha in her biopic titled ‘Thalaivi’ in Tamil and ‘Jaya’ in Hindi. The film is directed by Vijay and produced by Vishnu Induri of Vibri media and Shailesh R Singh of Karma entertainment.
Bollywood media has reported that Kangana Ranaut has been offered a whopping 24 Crore rupees as remuneration for ‘Thalaivi/Jaya’. If this is the case then the ‘Queen’ star will become the highest paid female actor in India. A great achievement indeed for the intense actress who has been churning out 100 Crores movies at regular intervals.
