Kamal Haasan starrer 'Vikram', directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set to hit the silver screens across the world on May 3. It has been reported that the film will have early morning special shows in select cities all over the state and the tickets are priced between 600 to 900 rupees.
Meanwhile, a public welfare case was registered in the Chennai High Court alleging that the ticket prices are too high for the early morning shows and the sales tax for the special screenings is not paid properly. The case also insisted that according to the rules of the Tamil Nadu government, movies should not be screened in theatres between midnight 12 to 9 am.
The Chennai High Court, which heard the case, has directed the Tamil Nadu government and the police to respond in this regard. The movie team is said to be in shock as the order has raised doubts about whether ‘Vikram’ will get permission for the early morning special shows in Tamil Nadu.
