Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan turns 69 today and celebrities and fans are showering him with wishes on social media. Yesterday the title announcement of his next movie 'Thug Life' was released to a thunderous response from fans. The upcoming multistarrer gangster movie is directed by Mani Ratnam with A.R. Rahman providing the music while Trisha, Dulquer Salmaan and Jayam Ravi costar.

Meanwhile a grand birthday bash was held last night at a star hotel in Chennai where a bevy of superstars and stars converged to wish Kamal. Among the guests were Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and Suriya. Cinematographer Ravi K Chandran who is cranking the camera for 'Thug Life' shared a photo with both the stars and wrote on X "Two Ghajini's in one frame at Kamal sirs birthday". It is worth noting that the duo played the lead roles in Hindi and Tamil in 'Ghajini' directed by A.R. Murugadoss.

Kamal Haasan, who is currently hosting 'Bigg Boss Tamil 7' has an exciting lineup of massive budgeted projects in the pipeline that include 'Indian 2', 'Indian 3' directed by Shankar, 'KH 233' directed by H. Vinoth, and 'Kalki 2898 AD' directed by Nag Ashwin.
