‘Kakateeyudu’ bracing up for release

Kakateeyudu , starring Tarak Ratna, Shilpi and Yamini in lead roles, will hit the screens in September.  Revathi is playing another important character.  Directed by V Samudra, the makers are touting it as a film with a social message.  'This film is of use for society.  The film portrays the negative consequences faced by the poor in the wake of privatization of education and healthcare sectors.  What are the consequences of selfish people entering into politics?  This is the subject matter of Kakateeyudu,' the director says.

"There are several aspects to Tarak Ratna’s character.  He is sporting six pack abs in the movie.  Since he had to prepare for the role by working out, it took time for us to complete the shoot.  What Bobbili Puli is to NTR, Simha is to Balakrishna, Aadi is to Jr. NTR, and Athanokkade is to Kalyan Ram, Kakateeyudu will be to Tarak.  This is a mass entertainer," he further adds.

The film will be released in the Andhra region by Goodur Gopalshetty.  Vinod Kumar, Prabha, Lagadapati Venkat Rao are in other important roles.  Music is by SR Shankar.  Cinematography is by Sahadev.  V Samudra has written the story and screenplay as well.
