Actor Johnny Depp, who just won his highly-publicised defamation claim against ex-wife Amber Heard, spent more than $62,000 (Rs 48.1 lakh) on a special celebratory curry dinner with his friends.

Taking to Instagram, the restaurant shared several videos and pictures of Johnny posing with the staff and also talking with the people. For the occasion, Johnny wore an off white shirt under a half-jacket, blue denim, a cap and black shoes.

The owner of Varanasi restaurant in Birmingham said that he was delighted to serve Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck. The Broad Street-based Indian restaurant on ITV News Central described its experience with Johnny Depp as very good. Director of Operations, Varanasi, Mr. Hussain said, “Johnny Depp and his team seemed very happy about the food.

He enjoyed so much with our company that he packed the leftover food and took it to the hotel. Along with this, he got photos clicked with our team. Hugs and kisses. He seemed like a very happy person. He talked to all of us and also met people around. He met my three daughters and he invited them to do some dialogues from his film. Along with this, one-liners of some of his films also spoke.

The "Edward Scissorhands" star was hanging out with musician friend and guitarist Jeff Beck, 77, and 20 other people. Mr Depp has been in the United Kingdom since before the verdict and also performed along with Beck.
