Jayam Ravi is reuniting with his brother and acclaimed director Mohan Raja for 'Thani Oruvan 2'. They are coming together after 8 years for this film which is a sequel to the duo's 2015 blockbuster. In August, Thani Oruvan 2 was announced with a spectacular promo video featuring the two.

According to the latest reports, the shooting for Thani Oruvan 2 will begin in the second week of April 2024. The story will be a continuation of the first part with Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara reprising their roles. The team is in the search for the antagonist and it will be a young actor from some other language.

Hiphop Tamizha, who scored music for the first part, is being considered to compose for the sequel as well. Also, the makers are in talks with other music directors. Jayam Ravi will complete the shooting of 'Genie' and 'Kadhalikka Neramillai' before commencing the filming for 'Thani Oruvan 2'. More details about the film will be revealed soon.
