Actor Vinayakan, renowned for his compelling portrayal as the formidable antagonist in Super Star Rajinikanth's blockbuster film "Jailer," has recently found himself entangled in real-life troubles.
On a recent Tuesday, Vinayakan was apprehended by the Ernakulam North police, allegedly for causing a disturbance at the police station. Following his detainment, he was promptly transported to Ernakulam General Hospital for a comprehensive medical examination, as confirmed by police sources.
Vinayakan faced charges stemming from his allegedly disorderly conduct in a public place while under the influence of alcohol, which obstructed the operations of the police station. According to reliable sources, his presence at the station was necessitated by multiple complaints concerning a commotion at the apartment where he resides.
The Station House Officer (SHO) of the North Police precinct remarked, "Vinayakan behaved indecently, and it is our understanding that he was inebriated. We are holding him temporarily, and he will be released on station bail."
However, it has now come to light that he was indeed released on bail. The incident appears to have been provoked by a domestic issue. Police officers at the Ernakulam North police station stated that charges were filed against Vinayakan for causing a disturbance and uttering obscenities in the presence of the police.
Vinayakan, who recently graced the screen in Rajinikanth's "Jailer," underwent a medical examination to assess his condition, and the results revealed that he was under the influence of alcohol during the chaotic incident. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the arrest was prompted by his disruptive behavior, which disrupted the normal functioning of the station. Reportedly, the actor created a scene at the police station and verbally insulted the officers while intoxicated, leading to the filing of a formal complaint against him and his subsequent arrest.
Following his arrest, Vinayakan was promptly taken to General Hospital for a medical assessment. The initial reason for his visit to the police station was noise complaints originating from his residence. Nevertheless, upon arrival at the station, he proceeded to cause considerable disturbance.
Vinayakan is a celebrated figure in the world of Mollywood, renowned not only for his acting prowess but also for his former career as a dancer and composer. He has left an indelible mark on both Malayalam and Tamil cinema with his remarkable performances. His career was kickstarted with a modest appearance in the 1995 film "Maanthrikam."
Vinayakan's exceptional talent earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his role as Ganga in Rajiv Ravi's "Kammatipaadam." His notable performances as Edakochi Dude in "Aadu - Oru Bheegara Jeevi Aanu" and its sequel "Aadu 2," as well as Ayyappan in Lijo Jose Pellissery's "Ee.Ma.Yau," have been lauded by audiences and critics alike.
