Director T.J. Gnanavel with his sophomore film 'Jai Bhim' starring Lijomol Jose, Manikandan and Suriya almost took Tamil cinema to the Oscars. The film was based on a lockup murder case that Justice Chandru dealt with in the eighties. There is great curiosity as to his next movie which is also a sensational true life story.

It has been officially announced that Junglee Pictures is producing Gnanavel's next titled 'Dosa King' to be made in Hindi with a pan Indian release. The story is based on the notorious lust driven murder of Santhakumar the husband of Jeevajothi an employee of the Saravana Bhavan chain of restaurants.

Rajagopal P the founder of the restaurant chain in his fifties was said to be lusting for Jeevajothi who was in her twenties and married to Santhakumar. Since she was strong and never gave in to his tempting her with money and riches the man plotted the cold blooded murder of her husband to pave way for her becoming his third wife.

Jeevajothi then in an era where there was no internet or cellphones fought an eighteen year old battle to bring the business tycoon to justice and avenge her husband's death. The murder was proved and the man served a life prison sentence and passed away in 2019.

The cast and crew details of 'Dosa King' and when it will go on floors will be known soon. T.J. Gananavel is also committed for another project that will reunite him with Suriya that will go on floors in early 2024.
