A day ahead of the release of 'iSmart Shankar' (on July 18), Ram Pothineni has tried to avert any kind of criticism against the dialogues or scenes in the movie by saying that Shankar is not an ideal character, nor is the film a message-driven one.
"This film wasn't made to give you a message about life. In fact, please don't follow Shankar. He is crazy AF. This film wasn't made to make you feel those delicate emotions deep within. This film was made to entertain you, make you jump out of your seats, make you scream your lungs out for the songs on screen and experience that energy and kick we have all been missing in Telugu cinema for really long time," Ram said.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film is billed as a sci-fi entertainer in a massy mould. Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Agerwal are the heroines.
