The official announcement of Vijay's next movie 'Thalapathy 68' rocked the internet on Sunday and is still trending across social media platforms. The mega project is the 25th milestone film of AGS Productions helmed by Venkat Prabhu with Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music.

'Thalapathy 68' is the second collaboration of Vijay and AGS after 'Bigil' and also the second time that Vijay is working with Yuvan after 'Puthiya Geethai' released in 2002. Venkat Prabhu celebrated the event by cutting a cake with his friends and later met the media.

Reporters pointed out to VP that a few months back his father Gangai Ameran stated that his next movie will feature both Ajith and Vijay and is there a chance for Ajith to play a role or even a cameo in 'Thalapathy 68'.

Venkat Prabhu replied that his father expressed his wish to see the two superstars together but Ajith is not acting in 'Thalapathy 68'. He also added that other updates of this film will be come after the release of Vijay's 'Leo' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj on October 19th.
