‘Irumudi’ Blockbuster Success: Ravi Teja Gets Emotional Over Audience Response

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and director Siva Nirvana’s latest film ‘Irumudi’ is enjoying a strong run at the box office. Released on August 21, the film has received an overwhelming response from audiences and is being celebrated as a blockbuster. The makers recently hosted a grand blockbuster success press meet to celebrate the film’s response.

Ravi Teja Gets Emotional Over the Response

Speaking at the success meet, Ravi Teja said the audience response to Irumudi has left him deeply emotional. He said the film is being widely discussed across social media, Instagram and the media, which has made the success even more special.

“People who came to theatres 20 years ago are returning to theatres to watch ‘Irumudi’. That feels very emotional. This happiness is not ordinary. I have a heart of stone and I normally don’t cry. But I cried after watching this film,” Ravi Teja said.

The actor revealed that he immediately felt the film had something special when director Siva Nirvana narrated the character of Trinath and explained the title Irumudi. He also praised Siva for having complete confidence in the film right from the beginning.

Ravi Teja Praises the Team

Ravi Teja appreciated the performances of Komaram, Bhargav, Kishore and Ramesh Indra, along with the actors who played the students in the film. He said the young actors have a bright future ahead.

He also praised art director Sai Suresh, cinematographer Vishnu Sharma and the team that handled the shoot in Seeleru. He appreciated choreographers Baba Bhaskar and Shekar Master, as well as action choreographers Ram-Lakshman and Real Satish.

Ravi Teja particularly praised the music by GV Prakash Kumar, calling it the “soul of the film.”

“When you watch the film, the music automatically brings tears to the audience’s eyes. Even my daughter Moksha became emotional and cried while watching the film,” he said.

He also praised Priya Bhavani Shankar for her performance and said the two important scenes she performed in the second half helped elevate the emotional impact of the film. He also appreciated child artiste Nakshatra, predicting a bright future for her.

Siva Nirvana: ‘Irumudi’ Has Given Me More Responsibility

Director Siva Nirvana said he was at a loss for words after witnessing the response to Irumudi.

According to him, the film has given a director, producer, hero, distributor and audience everything they could expect from a movie.

“The audience took ‘Ninnu Kori’ and ‘Majili’ into their homes. With this film, they have taken me into their hearts,” Siva Nirvana said emotionally.

He added that the success of Irumudi has placed a greater responsibility on him. The director also praised Ravi Teja for giving him complete creative freedom and doing everything required for the film.

Siva revealed that GV Prakash Kumar had expressed strong confidence in the project when he first heard the story. He even felt the film could become a path-breaking movie and a cult classic. Siva said he had initially asked him not to make such a statement, but GV Prakash later showed him the tweet he had written that day.

Priya Bhavani Shankar Praises Siva Nirvana and Ravi Teja

Priya Bhavani Shankar said the audience response to the film has been extremely gratifying. After watching the film in Chennai, she witnessed a tremendous response from the audience.

She praised Siva Nirvana for creating a classic film and said the director would be remembered for a long time for Irumudi. She also thanked him for giving her the opportunity to play Kaveri.

Priya described working with Ravi Teja as an honour and said Irumudi would remain one of the memorable films of her career.

Producers Celebrate the Blockbuster

Producer Ravi Shankar thanked audiences for embracing Irumudi as their own film. He said the movie is among the most emotional projects the production house has made.

“If Lord Ayyappa gave Ravi Teja a big hit, Ravi Teja gave our entire team a big hit. It happened like a chain reaction,” he said.

Producer Naveen Yerneni said congratulatory messages and box-office reports have been arriving continuously since the film’s release. He praised Ravi Teja’s performance, saying that a character like this could only be done by an actor of his calibre.

He also revealed that distributors were extremely happy with the film’s performance and said the blockbuster momentum is expected to continue.

Team Thanks the Audience

Veteran actor Sai Kumar said Irumudi was a deeply emotional experience for everyone involved and expressed pride in being part of the film during his 50-year career.

Lyricist Anantha Sriram said working on the songs for the film was a great opportunity and thanked Siva Nirvana and the producers for their trust.

Swastika praised the pan-India response and expressed happiness about being part of the project.

Cinematographer Vishnu Sharma also praised Ravi Teja’s dedication and revealed that audiences have been particularly emotional during the final 30 minutes of the film.
