R Parthiban's Iravin Nizhal, the world's first non-linear single shot, was released in cinemas last Friday. While the film is gaining a lot of appreciation from the audience, recently there was a huge controversy due to an interview given by an actress who acted in this film.
Now, both the actress and the movie's director Parthiban have apologized for the issue. Actress Brigida Saga played a crucial role in Iravin Nizhal. While addressing the media during a promotional event for the movie, Brigida said, "If you go to the slum, you will only hear bad words there and no one can cheat for the sake of cinema." This caused a huge stir.
Following this, Brigida and Parthiban expressed their apologies through social media for the same. Brigida tweeted, "My hearty sorry for telling those words! I just tried to convey that… As the location changes, the language also changes in iravin nizhal film.I took a wrong example which I’m feeling so bad for saying that! #acceptmyappologies Just a normal girl who’s trying to acheive in film" (sic).
R Parthiban wrote on his Twitter, "On behalf of Brigida, I also apologize to those who were hurt. The story takes place in 1989. The change in the slum people in 2022 is due to the education they received in the hard struggle. My films are mostly to make the slum people heroes!" (sic).
