Whatever happens, harassment issues in airports never cease to increase in recent times. This time it’s an international carrier, British Airways to be precise. An Indian family has been offloaded from a flight as their 3 year old kid was crying.
Reportedly, the mother of the kid was trying to calm down the wailing kid, but the intimidating behaviour of the cabin crew only made the situation much worse making the kid cry more. The aircraft after this incident moved to the terminal after which the family along with a few other Indians behind were also offloaded.
The incident took place on British Airways london-Berlin flight (BA 8495). The husband is a Indian Engineering Services officer. The officer had also complained to the Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu alleging humiliation and racial behaviour. However, the British Airways had this to say: “We take such claims like this extremely serious and do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. We have started a full investigation and are in direct contact with the customer.”
