Is there a numbers sentiment for Vijay hits?

Published by indiaglitzcom

The year 2015 has not been so great for the diehard Illayathalapathy Vijay fans as the fantasy adventure ‘Puli’ directed by Chimbudevan did not receive the desired result in spite of stars like Prabhu, Sridevi, Sudeep, Shruti Haasan and Hansika in the cast.

A recent study suggests that after Vijay’s second innings which started with ‘Thirumalai’, when in a year only one of his films releases it invariably fails citing the examples of ‘Aadhi’, ‘Kuruvi’, ‘Suraa’, ‘Thalaivaa’ and now ‘Puli’.

When Vijay has two or more releases in a year they both mostly become hits or atleast one becomes a super hit like ‘Ghilli and ‘Madurey’ in 2004, ‘Thirupachi’, Sachein’ and ‘Sivakasi’ in 2005, ‘Pokkiri’ and ‘Azhagiya Tamizh Magan’ in 2007, ‘Villu’ and ‘Vettaikaran’ In 2009, ‘Kavalan’ and Velayudham’ in 2011, ‘Nanban’ and ‘Thuppakki’ in 2012 and ‘Jilla’ and ‘Kaththi’ in 2014.

Basing on this sentiment the mass fans of the Illayathalapathy would want him to do more than one film a year and as far as 2016 is concerned ‘Theri’ is hitting the screens on April 14 and hopefully the Vijay-Bharathan project should be Diwali treat.
