On Thursday, Just Add Magic: Mystery City actor Tyler Sanders, who was nominated for an Emmy for his role in the Prime Video series, passed away at 18 in Los Angeles. Sanders' agent, Pedro Tapia, confirmed the young actor's death and stated that it is currently under investigation. The agent also had a request on behalf of his loved ones:
The cause of his death is however unknown and currently, an investigation is underway. According to a report in TMZ, an autopsy will be conducted. A representative for Tyler told the publication that he will be remembered as “a good kid who came from a good family".
The actor is credited with TV roles going back to 2015 and appeared on a number of beloved TV shows. Tyler began his acting career when he was just 10. He earned plaudits for his acting and received an Emmy nomination for his work in the Amazon series, Just Add Magic; Mystery City.”
Tyler is known for his roles in 9-1-1: Lone Star with Rob Lowe and Fear the Walking Dead. He was also in The Rookie as well as Just Add Magic season one. In the popular and long-running spinoff of The Walking Dead, Sanders played the younger version of Jake Otto, a character played by Sam Underwood. In 2018, he came to broadcast television with a guest role in Nathan Fillion's The Rookie on ABC.
