‘Hippi’: Release date sealed

It’s known that ‘RX 100’ hero Kartikeya is currently doing a film titled ‘Hippi’. Directed by TN Krishna, its shooting was wrapped up recently.  Post-production works are going on.  

The news is that the film will hit the screens in both Telugu and Tamil on June 7.

Talking about the movie, Kartikeya said, “The film has come out really well.  The entire team is very happy with the output.  It’s a pucca commercial entertainer.  There is a realistic story in the movie.  Besides, there is loads of entertainment.  I am proud to have worked with a producer who bankrolled ‘Kabali’.  JD Chakravarthy garu has played a key role in the movie.”

JD said, “I accepted to do the movie because I felt that my character is crucial.  Kartikeya will go on to become a big hero.”

The director described ‘Hippi’ as a simple and realistic movie.  “The elements in the movie are similar to the incidents that we come across in day-to-day life.  Every scene is entertaining,” he added.

Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu said that ‘Hippi’ targets all sections of audience. “Kartikeya will turn out to be a frontline hero after this movie.  RD Rajasekhar’s visuals are amazing,” he added.

Digangana Suryavanshi, Jazba Singh and Brahmaji have other roles.  Music is by Nivas K Prasanna.  Editing is by Praveen KL.  Lyrics are by Anantha Sriram.  Dialogues are by TN Krishna and Kashi Nadimpalli.  Stunts are by Dilip Subbarayan.
