Megastar Chiranjeevi has once again reaffirmed his unmatched box office clout. His latest Sankranthi entertainer, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, has delivered a thunderous start at the global box office, posting extraordinary opening-day figures that have taken the trade by surprise.

As per the official figures announced by the makers, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu amassed a staggering ₹84 crore gross worldwide on day one, including paid premiere shows. The film’s opening is now on par with Chiranjeevi’s earlier blockbuster Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, underlining the Megastar’s sustained mass appeal across generations. Notably, this achievement has come despite a Monday release—making the feat even more remarkable.

With this, Chiranjeevi becomes the only senior Tollywood star to register not one, but two films with ₹80 crore-plus global opening days. Trade circles and fans alike believe the film could have comfortably breached the coveted ₹100 crore opening mark had it released on a Sunday.

Beyond Chiranjeevi’s towering stardom, the film’s performance has been boosted by director Anil Ravipudi’s strong connect with family audiences and the presence of Venkatesh, which added further crowd-pulling power. The festive tone and mass-friendly packaging have struck the right chord with audiences.

Even before the official start of the Sankranthi season, theatres are witnessing festival-like celebrations, with packed houses and euphoric fan responses. With the holiday period set to kick in fully, the film is expected to enjoy a strong and sustained run through the week.

The film stars Nayanthara as the female lead and is produced by Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela under the banners of Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments. Music for the film has been composed by Bheems Ceciroleo.
