‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ Box Office: Day Two

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu had a solid start with strong premiere collections, creating huge buzz among fans. However, what seemed like a promising beginning has turned into a concern for the makers, as the film witnessed a steep fall in collections on its second day.
According to early trade estimates, the film managed to collect only around Rs. 5 crore share worldwide on Friday, a massive decline compared to its day-one numbers. This drop has raised eyebrows within industry circles, as big-budget star films usually aim for consistent hold in the first weekend.
The mixed word-of-mouth emerging from early shows appears to be the major factor behind this decline. While Pawan Kalyan’s presence and the first-half sequences are being appreciated by fans, the second half and the film’s VFX work are drawing heavy criticism. Neutral audiences seem less enthusiastic, which is affecting repeat viewership.
Many fans have now taken to social media urging the producers to immediately reduce ticket prices to attract more audiences over the weekend. With the film being made on a grand scale, the next two days are extremely crucial to improve its box office prospects.
Directed by Jyothi Krishna and produced by AM Rathnam, the film features a star-studded cast including Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Sathyaraj, Sunil, Subbaraj, and Raghu Babu in key roles. Whether this period epic can bounce back and gain momentum in the coming days remains to be seen.
Trade Analysis:
Day 1: Strong opening with premieres boosting numbers
Day 2: Sharp decline with only Rs. 5 crore share worldwide
Main Concerns: Mixed WOM, criticism of VFX and second half
What’s Next: Weekend collections will decide the film’s long-term run.
