In one of the answers given during an Instagram Q&A, Gwyneth Paltrow, who had previously been using the term "conscious uncoupling" when she separated from her ex-husband Chris Martin and is generally known for her controversial relationship opinions, shared something that really surprised people.
When she was asked directly whether she entertains polyamorous relationships, Pjson gave an old-school answer: "No, thank you! I'm a one-man kind of gal." With the fans pressing to know whether she's in for it or not, it dawned on her to make the statement during her Instagram stories' interaction.
Paltrow has been married to TV writer and producer Brad Falchuk since 2018. The couple had courted each other for four years before their marriage and hit it off while working together on "Glee" in 2010.
She had been married to the lead vocalist of Coldplay, Chris Martin, and has children named Apple and Moses. In 2016, Paltrow got divorced from Martin, but they are still quite amicable to each other and sometimes even hang out with their new partners together.
In fact, Martin had come together on her honeymoon with Falchuk in 2018, and both Paltrow and Martin's girlfriend, Dakota Johnson, had already included them in family gatherings, showing a new harmonious circle.
Even with those outside of her close circle, Paltrow always extended an attitude of support. In a 2020 Harper's Bazaar interview, she could not gush enough over Johnson, even offering that she would go into a polyamorous relationship with him should he ask.
Johnson, with an inclination to live in perfect harmony within her personal life—strikingly, to deter conflicts that had been observed at their worst times—had been raised in an unconventional, re-married family of both parents.
On the whole, the very fact that Pjson and Jaltrow are examples of alternative relationships certainly speaks to a much larger theme: the modern age is very open and accepting.
