Actor Dhanush and director Vetrimaran have teamed up for the fourth time after Pollathavan, Aadukalam and Vada Chennai for Asuran, which is produced by Kalaipuli S Thaanu's V Creations and is currently in its final phase of shooting. The movie is targeting an year end release reportedly.

Asuran is based on the acclaimed novel Vekkai by Poomani, and will have Dhanush paired with Manju Warrier, the Malayalam actress who is making her Tamil debut with this movie. The movie also stars Pasupathy, Balaji Sakthivel and has music by GV Prakash.

GV Prakash has been regularly tweeting updates on Asuran, and he recently updated on the Aadukalam connect in Asuran with his tweet revealing that singer Velmurugan has sung a song in Asuran.
