British guitarist and actor Wilko Johnson, who played the role of Ser IIyn Payne in the famous HBO series Game of Thrones, passed away at the age of 75 at his home in southeast England after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Confirming that he breathed his last on Monday evening, the actor’s family posted, “This is the announcement we never wanted to make, and we do so, on behalf of Wilko’s family and the band, with a very heavy heart: Wilko Johnson has died. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Westcliff On Sea on Monday evening, 21st November 2022. He was 75.”
The statement further read, “Thank you for respecting Wilko's family's privacy at this very sad time, and thank you all for having been such a tremendous support throughout Wilko's incredible life. RIP Wilko Johnson.” Wilko Johnson was diagnosed with late-stage pancreatic cancer back in early 2013. He was declared cancer-free a year later following a major surgery. Wilko Johnson is survived by his sons Simon and Matthew and grandson Dylan.
I’m sad to hear today of the passing of Wilko Johnson, the Dr Feelgood guitarist and singer/songwriter.

I saw Wilko perform at Koko in Camden in May 2013 and the atmosphere was electric. This show was originally billed as his farewell tour pic.twitter.com/M1sQIEe4mm
