Former Indian Premier League chairman Lalit Modi on Thursday confirmed that he is dating famous Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen and shared pictures from their recent vacation in Maldives.

Initially, people began speculating that the couple had gotten married after Lalit Modi announced a new beginning with the actress and called her his better half. However, the former IPL chairman clarified in a second post that they were only dating but hoped to get married soon. “Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives #sardinia with the families - not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon (sic)," Lalit Modi said in a tweet, sharing pictures from their Maldives vacation.

In another tweet posted less than an hour later, he wrote, “Just for clarity. Not married - just dating each other. That too it will happen one day.” Even though she is yet to confirm the relationship from her end, Sushmita Sen shared a cryptic post on her Instagram which read, “Sometimes when you are in a dark place, you tend to think you have been buried; what if you have been planted?” Sushmita Sen, who was crowned Miss Universe in 1994, ended her relationship with model-actor Rohman Shawl in December last year.
