Bigg Boss 14 participant Rakhi Sawant has landed in legal trouble over a video of hers that went viral on social media. An FIR has been registered against the actress in Ranchi for allegedly making fun of the ‘tribal outfit.’

The President of the Tribal Committee, Ajay Tirkey, has reportedly claimed that Rakhi Sawant uploaded a vulgar video on her Instagram page on April 14 mocking the tribal community. “In a viral video on social media, Rakhi Sawant has taken the name of tribals in insulting way by wearing a belly dance dress on which the tribal society of Jharkhand is angry and has reached the ST-SC police station against Rakhi Sawant,” Tirkey stated. Demanding an apology from the actress, he further said that they wouldn’t hesitate to launch a protest against her.

In his formal complaint, the president of the tribal committee had mentioned, “The committee has said that by wearing the dress of tribals, Rakhi Sawant has crossed the limits of obscenity. By doing this, Sawant has insulted the tribals of the world. If she does not apologise, the tribal society will protest against her by mobilizing. Apart from this, if she comes to Ranchi, then there will be a sit-in demonstration against her.” Rakhi, who has now deleted the video, is yet to make a statement on the issue.
