A renowned South Indian actress of the 90s, who starred with the leading actors like Rajini and Kamal in Tamil cinema, has now tested positive for Omicron infection. This news has caused shock among the fans and the netizens.

The impact of Corona and omicron infection in India has been rapidly increasing in the last few days. Following this, cinema celebrities are also getting infected. In Tamil cinema, actors Kamal Haasan, Vikram, Arjun and Vadivelu were infected last month. Currently, actors Sathyaraj, Arunvijay, Vishnu Vishal, actress Meena, Trisha and many others are suffering from corona disease.

Shobana, a leading yesteryear actress in South Indian films and a classical dancer, has now joined the list and been diagnosed with Omicron infection. She shared her health information on her Instagram page. Also, Shobana added that although she was safe after being vaccinated with 2 doses of vaccine, she was still infected.

Sharing the health update, Shobana wrote, "When the world sleeps magically ! I have contracted Omicron despite taking precautions. My symptoms were joint pains, chills and a scratchy throat which was followed by a slightly sore throat - This was only on the first day ! And every day my symptoms reduce greatly. I’m glad I took both my vaccines as I believe that it prevents the disease from progressing by 85 percent .I urge everyone else to do the same if you haven’t done so already . I hope and pray that this variant marks the end of the pandemic .. (sic)."
