Renowned dubbing artist A Srinivasa Murthy passed away on Friday due to cardiac arrest. He was one of the most sought-after dubbing artists in India. Murthy acquired fame for dubbing for Suriya and many other popular non-Telugu actors.
In his condolence message, the ‘Singham’ and ‘Jai Bhim’ actor said that Murthy’s demise is a huge personal loss for him. The Kollywood star hero added, “Srinivasamurthy Garu’s voice and emotions gave life to my performances in Telugu. Will miss you Dear Sir! Gone too soon.”
Suriya’s message shows how much value he attaches to his dubbing artist, who enlivened his characters in the Telugu-dubbed versions of his hit Tamil movies.
Mollywood superstar Mohanlal, too, said that he is deeply pained and shocked at the passing of the “voice of a hundred heroes”. The actor further said, “It was he who enlivened my character in ‘Janatha Garage’, making this loss all the more personal. My heart goes out to all mourning this huge loss to the Telugu industry. Om Shanthi.”
